Daylight saving time

Muahahaha, clocks fall back one hour today. I've just wasted one hour of time and you know what, it doesn't matter! I now get to relive 1am-2am again. I got one over you, world! Ship it!

2 final tables and pwnage

Ok, so I posted last week that I'd make at least one final table by the end of last weekend. Well, I missed that goal by 1 day. On Monday, I managed to take 2nd in a Stars 22-180. On the final hand, I pushed with A6 after the button had raised and he insta-called with 89 and I lose.

A few days after, I made the final table of an UltimateBet 3K MTT and got supremely unlucky to bust out 5th. UTG raised 3X BB and I flat called with AQ on the button. Flop comes Q-high, he checks, I bet 2/3rd pot with TPTK and he shoves in. I call, he shows KJ and makes runner runner Jacques. GGIGHN.

A few days ago, I played in the FullTilt 12K MTT and this hand came up about 4-5 players before the bubble bursts. Blinds are something like 500/1000. MP3 limps, CO limps and I shove with JTs for about 12K total. I figure this is a good time to pick up a nice pot and I've seen both players limp with garbage hands and on other occasions, they've folded their limp to a nice raise. SB (18K) then thinks for 3 secs and calls. I'm thinking "ooops. hopefully my cards are live". Everyone folds and SB shows Q8o and I lose. Yep, that's right. SB called off 2/3rd of his stack with Q-high. I got absolutely pwned. haha...

Ok, that's all for now. Triple Draw beckons...

And yes, Man U beat Liverpool.

MTTs

I've been doing pretty decent in MTTs in the past week. I've final tabled one and gotten really deep in a bunch of others. I would have final tabled one yesterday but my blind defense with A2 got called by AQ and I didn't suck out. 14th place for insignificant money. GGIGHN.

I'm going to be spending this weekend doing mostly MTTs. I predict at least one final table. Good luck me.

Amish

An apparently deranged gunman storms into an Amish schoolhouse and kills 5 young girls before killing himself. In an amazing display of forgiveness, the Amish join the gunman's family in mourning his death. There are many important lessons that the rest of the world can learn from the Amish.

Limit rustiness

I'm heading out to my regular 10/20 Limit game at the casino in a couple of hours. I'm feeling kinda rusty since it's been a while since I played Limit cash games. I just knocked in about 200 hands of Limit play online and it's slowly coming back. Need to get used to making those thin value bets and reading people again.

MTT success

I played in an MTT on PokerStars and finally broke my PokerStars jinx. Over 1400+ players entered and I managed to get down to 3-handed where I had the 2nd stack. We discussed and agreed on a chip count deal and I got slightly more than $2200 for my share.

The whole tournament was incredibly straightforward and I got lucky in the sense that I won ALL my races. And all my races were for pretty significant pots. Also, everyone seemed to be playing really tight so I chipped up a lot by stealing preflop. Here's 2 hands that are semi-interesting.

In this hand, I got super lucky. I read Villain on a resteal and didn't give him credit for a good hand in that spot. He had been really aggressive in the past few orbits, hence my shove. This is the only time in the tournament where I got lucky...a pretty good suckout :)

Final Pot: T53400

Here, I had a read on Villain. In the past 2 orbits, I've seen him lead out on the flop in unraised pots when the flop seems to have missed. So I figured he is most likely to be doing the same thing. I didn't want to raise the flop since he could very well be leading into me with A-x and repop me. Also, I figured that I have a better chance of representing an Ace by smoothcalling on the flop. Once he checked on the turn, I knew that he'd given up on this hand and I duly obliged by betting 1/2 pot.

Thanks to the FCPers who stayed up till late to rail me. Appreciate the support. Honestly, I think that knowing that FCPers were watching helped me stay focused. If I was playing unobserved, I'd probably have made a aggro-donk move somewhere along the line.

The End is Here

PartyPoker's parent company PartyGaming just announced that they will be suspending US accounts once President Bush signs the anti-gaming bill within the next few days. I feel sick in the gut. This feels like losing a job. Sick....

I feel like going on a SNG barrage over the next few days but I feel too sick about the developments to do it. This is a bad beat.

The End is Here

News just came in, Congress has passed a bill that aims to curb online gambling. That sucks. Now I'll have to find a new hobby to occupy my newly found spare time. Heck, I might have so much free time that I might end up making my blog super gay by telling the whole world that I baked a cake today and post pictures of me making stupid faces while eating the crummy cake.

Note: That's not me. I don't bake crummy cakes.
